The Benchen Free Clinic was founded in 1994. The clinic supplies the Benchen community with medical treatment but furthermore provides free medical care to the local people who are stricken by grinding poverty. Every person, who is not able to finance its medical care can be provided with it in Benchen Free Clinic. Throughout the years the clinic has become an important institution to support the socially weak parts of the Nepali society.
