In order to enable the monks to study in Buddhist Philosophy, the Buddhist University (tib. Shedra) has been established by Kyabje Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche. Within the nine years curriculum the Buddhist sciences are not only being comprehended intellectually but also practiced diligently and vividly. After graduating the studies the monk has an opportunity to study further to achieve the title of a Khenpo and to teach the Buddhist Philosophy.
